Sometimes it was simply too much of a good thing; my skin reacted with redness and blemishes. It was also striking that many skincare products contained questionable ingredients.
I wanted to change that. I love my profession and wanted to develop my own formulations: effective active ingredients in sensible dosages. After intensive research, exchange, and collaboration with pharmacologists, biochemists, and doctors, Skincosmedic was finally created: a vegan cosmetic line with beneficial active ingredients. This result makes me and my customers happy. Because now I can offer products that provide real benefits – and that I can fully endorse from a medical perspective.
Why Skincosmedic?
Skincosmedic's sustainable and vegan products are creams with a so-called DMS (Derma Membrane Structure). These formulations are most similar to the skin, meaning skin-identical, and do not require emulsifiers. They also contain no questionable additives such as microparticles, paraffin, silicones, hormone-disrupting UV filters, or parabens. Instead, they rely on exceptional active ingredients. For example, they contain naturally occurring antibacterial and anti-inflammatory coriander oil or Nobel Prize active ingredients such as Argireline or Teprenone, which significantly rejuvenate the skin and improve cell functions.
Skincosmedic's high-quality formulations support the skin's natural protective and regenerative mechanisms. Since the products contain no penetration enhancers, they are also suitable for the sensitive eye area. Gabriele Engelbrecht is a medical beautician FA and has been running a successful and renowned cosmetic institute with several employees in Lucerne since 2006. Her specialty is medical cosmetics as well as the development and production of her own vegan skincare line, skincosmedic®.
The skin expert, who also writes for the magazine "Freundin", has increasingly noticed in recent years that skin problems such as irritations, redness, and impurities have increased among many of her clients.
Gabriele Engelbrecht was increasingly confronted with statements like "I can't tolerate anything anymore."
In 2009, Ms. Engelbrecht won first place in a competition where she presented cosmetic microneedling. Since then, cosmetic microneedling has successfully established itself and is now an integral part of modern cosmetic treatments.
The skincosmedic® products are also regularly dermatologically tested and awarded "very good" by Dermatest.
