DMS – Derma Membrane Structure

All Skincosmedic® products are based on the Derma Membrane Structure (DMS) – a formulation that mimics the natural structure of the skin barrier. Instead of conventional emulsifiers, DMS uses skin-identical lipids that seamlessly integrate into the skin's protective layer.

What is the Derma Membrane Structure?

Human skin protects itself with a multi-layered lipid barrier. DMS formulations replicate exactly this structure: they are skin-identical in composition and do not contain classic emulsifiers. As a result, they do not disrupt the natural barrier but strengthen it instead.

Why DMS is Better for Your Skin

Because DMS cream is so similar to the skin, it is particularly well absorbed. Active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, or coriander extract reach their target more effectively. At the same time, the skin barrier is strengthened, which prevents moisture loss and irritation – also ideal for sensitive skin.

Free from questionable additives

Skincosmedic® formulations are vegan and deliberately avoid microplastics, paraffins, silicones, hormone-disrupting UV filters, and parabens. Instead of fillers, they contain highly effective, skin-friendly active ingredients.
